ALC HISTORY- 53 Years

Established in 1968 by the American Mission in Nepal, also known as English Language Institute(ELI) now know as the American Language Center(ALC) was the first institute in Nepal to provide English language and Business English skills training programs. ALC was founded to provide the most innovative methods for teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL), as well as to provide opportunities for students to experience full English-immersion and activity-based methodology from native English-speaking instructors.

In addition to primarily providing language training, ALC also provides a wide variety of other cultural and educational activities. Some examples of activities currently on offer are library facilities, multimedia computer labs, video series/discussion groups, excursions, newsletters, quiz nights and literary clubs.
